Benefits of Yoga...
Looking for reasons to start yoga? Yoga is a great way to improve your flexibility and strength. However the benefits of yoga go beyond the physical benefits.

IT'S A GREAT WORKOUT.Yoga is a form of exercise, it can actually leave you catching your breath by the end of a session. Yoga is brilliant for toning your muscles as you hold postures in positions that your body probably isn't used to holding.

WEIGHT LOSS.

You will naturally lose weight when you take part in Yoga. You'll also find you will start eating more mindfully as well because you will start getting used to the practice.

 IMPROVES YOUR POSTURE.

You will learn the correct way to stand and lose back pains.

REDUCES STRESS.

On a physical level, yoga helps to reduce levels of stress. So, not only do you feel more relaxed but your body's reactions to stress will decrease.

BOOSTS YOUR BRAIN POWER.

Yoga and meditation go hand in hand, so the benefits of quietening your mind and giving your head space with meditation applies to yoga to..

How to start spreading the Optimism...

Optimism. It can turn a situation that looks bad and bleak into something to learn from. It can replace those draining or negative thoughts of pessimism with something that will give you energy again!

And it can help you skip those obstacles you face so you can keep moving when you fall. Don't give up just because you have had a setback.

So don't just add this your own life but adding it to others in your life as well is a goo idea too. This is because you tend to get back what you give in the long run, and in the short run you will get to enjoy those smiles and know you have done a good deed by spreading optimism.

Just a quick one this week. Movement through exercise...

Do you suffer from pain and have no idea what can help? Believe it or not exercise is the answer!

Exercise is essential for Health and Well-being. If it is your only form of movement, there is nothing wrong with that. Slow movement actually has huge health benefits for the body and painful areas.

Paying attention to your body is like shining a spotlight on areas of pain. Not such a great idea to focus on pain? Believe it or not it is actually the best cure for pain because the attention spotlight helps to redirect the body's own healing resources to the affected areas.

If you suffer with a lot of a pain there are a number of different exercises out there that can help and some can even get rid of those pains. I'm not saying you should go to the gym and start doing a load of hard, strong exercises, thats not what I am saying at all. However doing some slow movements and stretches like Yoga for example, is slowly going to help that pain ease away.

Yoga for Beginners

So many people ask how do you start out as a beginner in Yoga? Well the world of yoga is so big it can be overwhelming if you are brand new to it. My first suggestion would be find a good studio somewhere close by. Even if you haven’t got the money right now, save up a little bit so you can start taking a few classes. I’m not saying sigh up to a year’s membership or anything like that. Just take it slow and try out a few different sessions and teachers until you find one that best suits you.

The best way to learn when you are starting out on your own is to learn with a teacher. Starting on your own at home is fab but having a teacher look at you and show you how things are down correctly is so valuable. It will stop you from getting injured and also help you improve. There are a lot of different choices out there, so the more you try the easier it will be to find out which style best suits you.

The more you practice yoga, the more you’ll feel how good it does your body and the easier it will be to find the money and the time to do it. How about skipping that daily coffee for a week? A little saving does go a long way! There are always ways, it’s just a question of how we prioritize. So find a way to practice with a teacher, and do that as much as you can without it disturbing your weekly rhythm. Yoga should be a joy, not a must. And the best thing is: the more you practice, the more you’ll want to practice. You’ll find that yoga is a rhythm that helps you hold the rest of your week in balance.

So if you want to start Yoga, Give it a go. Don't hold back.

Have a fab week.
